Course Structure

The best business school in Eastern India, the Regional College of Management (RCM), brings you the Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) program. The program is a Two-year, full time program approved by the AICTE and is comparable to those offered by some of the best business schools globally.

RCM’s Course for the PGDM program is spread over six trimesters. The first three terms are essentially devoted to exploring the core areas of management.
Our course curriculum follows a well-constructed course framework. During the first year all students are required to pursue the same course of study which enables arms them with concept clarity of management approach and skills across all the key disciplines.

After successful completion of the first year of Tourism Administration Program, the students partake summer training of up to ten weeks in a brand name company. Here students are molded to analyze and offer solutions to specific management problems under the guidance of a faculty member as well as a manager in the same company.
In the second year all students choose a specialization area of their choice from any of the offered disciplines.

Usually, a student develops one or two major areas of in-depth expertise by selecting an elective from the 60 to 80 options that the college typically offers. Students with keen interest into a topic that is not covered by the elective courses can do term papers under faculty supervision.

The method of instruction varies across disciplines. Regular case studies, lectures, group discussions and individual exercises, project works, live presentations, simulation games etc., are used in different courses to provide a real-time management insight to students. Many courses facilitate regular visits from industry experts to integrate classroom learning with real-time industry studies.
