Newcastle University Business School is offering the MBA Sustainable Leadership Scholarship, a prestigious award valued at £31,000. This scholarship is designed to support candidates who have demonstrated significant experience in leading sustainable and/or social business initiatives, and who aspire to become future leaders in sustainable business.
The scholarship covers the full cost of tuition fees and is available for one candidate. The program will commence in September 2024 and will last for one year of MBA study.
To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must meet certain criteria. This includes holding an offer (conditional or unconditional) for admission to the Full-time MBA program in 2024, having at least three years of substantive managerial experience, and holding the equivalent of a UK 2:1 honors degree. Applicants who do not meet the academic requirements but can demonstrate relevant work experience and career progression may also be considered.
Applicants will need to perform well in an interview that assesses their competency across all areas. Additionally, they must hold an English language qualification of IELTS 6.5 or its equivalent, with no subskill below 6.0 if English is not their first language.
To apply for the scholarship, candidates must complete an online application form and submit an essay of no more than 1,500 words in response to a specified question. The essay must be written in English. The School’s MBA Scholarship Committee will review all applications and essays.
Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria will receive an email with a link to the application form. The deadline for applications is 12 April 2024, with a possibility of extension if a suitable candidate is not found.
