What is the ICCR Yuva Mitra Prize?
The Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) proudly presents the ICCR Yuva Mitra Prize, an initiative aimed at recognizing the exceptional efforts of ICCR scholars who actively promote Indian culture on social media platforms. This award highlights the importance of cultural exchange and celebrates the contributions of foreign students studying in India.
Acknowledging Cultural Contributions
Each year, a total of twelve ICCR scholars will be awarded the ICCR Y M Prize, distributed quarterly, based on their outstanding social media posts that promote Indian culture and heritage. The winners, showcasing creativity and engagement, will receive a cash prize: ₹30,000 for the first prize, ₹25,000 for the second, and ₹15,000 for the third. This initiative encourages students to delve into various aspects of Indian traditions, art, food, music, and more.
Eligibility and Submission Details
This prize is open to all ICCR scholars who demonstrate a vibrant social media presence while focusing on non-political content about Indian culture. To participate, scholars must submit their entries through a designated Google participation form, providing essential details such as their full name, scholarship scheme, and links to their submitted content. The deadlines for these submissions will fall on 30 June, 30 September, and 31 December 2025.
