The Swami Dayanand Scholarship Program is committed to supporting students from economically challenged backgrounds. This year, we have made several improvements to simplify the application process and increase accessibility for eligible candidates. Please read the instructions carefully and follow them strictly.

Eligibility Criteria

Our scholarships are exclusively available to students who studied in government or aided schools for their 10th grade. Students from private schools are not eligible. Additionally, if you are studying at a school affiliated with state boards, please inform us in advance for separate processing of your application.

Age and Application Requirements

Eligible applicants must be 20 years old or younger and entering their first year of college. The applications should be filled out by the candidates themselves. Both the applicant and their parents must sign the last page of the application, which can be mailed or uploaded.

We are also enforcing a gap year restriction of a maximum of one year. Students who have taken two or more years off after school are ineligible, as we aim to prioritize those with minimal gaps in their education.

Income Verification and Documentation

We have revised the minimum annual family income limits to support families earning up to Rs 8 lacs annually who do not receive any fee waivers from institutes or colleges. Preference will be given to students who can provide salary slips, income tax returns, or other verifiable income documents.

For families without verifiable income, two income verification letters from unrelated neighbors fluent in Hindi or English are required. These neighbors must be available for telephone call verification.

Course and Scholarship Usage Restrictions

Fresh scholarship applications are now restricted for students in their first or second year of engineering and medicine courses. For B.Sc, B.A, and B.Com courses, scholarships are only available to first-year students. The scholarship funds are paid directly to the institute and can only be used for college fees.
