Raydon Graduate Research Scholarships

Raydon Graduate Research Scholarships

The Raydon Graduate Research Scholarships are prestigious top-up scholarships that provide financial support to graduate research students studying in relevant humanities and social sciences study areas. These scholarships are specifically designed to assist with living costs and are awarded in addition to a RTP stipend or Monash Graduate Scholarship.

The Raydon Scholarships are made possible through the generous philanthropic support of the Narodowski Investment Trust. Each year, six scholarships are awarded to deserving students:

  • Alex Raydon PhD Scholarship
  • Alex Raydon and Nina Narodowski PhD Scholarship (x2)
  • Max and Riva Radunski PhD Scholarship
  • Sam and Nina Narodowski PhD Scholarship
  • Sonia Narodowski PhD Scholarship

To be eligible for these scholarships, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Be an Australian citizen, a New Zealand citizen, an Australian permanent resident, an Australian humanitarian visa holder, or an international student
  • Have submitted a scholarship application in the current year
  • Be undertaking research in the study areas of social justice, social inclusion, human rights, sustainability or environment, or social policy for the betterment of society
  • Meet Monash’s competitive scholarship selection process requirements
  • Meet Monash English language proficiency requirements

The study areas for these scholarships are limited to the faculties of Art, Design and Architecture; Arts; Education and Law. However, this scholarship is also available to students undertaking joint research awards when Monash University is the home institution.

The Raydon Scholarships provide a living allowance top-up (stipend) to successful applicants. The selection criteria for these scholarships are based on your academic record, any research outputs, and prior research experience. The standard RTP scholarship terms and conditions apply, with exceptions outlined in the terms and conditions specific to these scholarships.

To apply for the Raydon Graduate Research Scholarships, you need to submit your scholarship application at the time of applying for your course, unless you are already enrolled. A single application is used for both admission and scholarship, and you are automatically considered for all graduate research scholarships (where eligible) without specifying a particular scholarship.

Please note that the Raydon Scholarship is awarded in the 31 October scholarship round only. Eligible applicants from rounds 1 through to 4 of the same year will automatically be considered for this scholarship.
