The J N Tata Endowment, established in 1892 by Jamsetji Nusserwanjee Tata, the Promoter of the Tata Group, has been providing loan scholarships to Indian students for over 131 years. With a mission to support higher studies overseas, the Endowment has awarded scholarships to more than 5700 talented students from all corners of India.
The focus of the J N Tata Endowment is on merit, recognizing and awarding the best and most gifted students to enable them to contribute significantly to the country. The scholarships cover various education streams, including Master’s, Ph.D., and post-doctoral fellowships.
The selection process for the J N Tata Endowment scholarships is divided into four phases. At the end of each phase, candidates will be informed about the status of their application. It is crucial for applicants to carefully understand the details of each phase:
Phase 1 – Application Submission: The deadline for submitting applications is 15th March 2024. Candidates are required to provide personal and academic information, work experience (if any), and a statement of purpose. Scanned copies of essential documents, such as the candidate’s photo (in jpeg format, 500 * 500 pixels), Aadhar card, and passport (first page), should be uploaded.
Phase 2 – Screening: After the submission deadline, the applications will undergo a screening process to shortlist eligible candidates based on the provided information.
Phase 3 – Personal Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for a personal interview to assess their suitability for the scholarship.
Phase 4 – Final Selection: The final selection will be made based on the candidate’s overall performance in the previous phases. Successful applicants will be awarded the J N Tata Endowment scholarship.
