About the Fellowship
The Dorothy Marchus Senesh Fellowship, administered by the International Peace Research Association (IPRA) Foundation, aims to support women from countries in the Global South engaged in peace and development studies. This prestigious fellowship has been awarded biennially since its inception in 1990, continuing Dorothy Senesh’s legacy as a passionate advocate for international peace and justice.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the 2025-2026 fellowship, applicants must be women who have completed a bachelor’s degree and are accepted into a graduate program focusing on issues aligned with the goals of the IPRA Foundation. Preference is given to candidates demonstrating financial need, and the fellowship is not available for male applicants or undergraduates.
Application Process and Timeline
Applications must be submitted by January 31, 2025, with award announcements made by April 1, 2025. Required materials include a letter of acceptance to a graduate program, three letters of recommendation, and the completed application form available in English, Spanish, or French.
