Ministry of Tribal Welfare announces National Fellowship and Scholarship for Higher Education of ST Students

The Ministry of Tribal Welfare has recently announced the National Fellowship and Scholarship for Higher Education of ST Students. This initiative aims to provide financial assistance to students belonging to Scheduled Tribes (ST) who are pursuing higher education.

The scholarship is open to ST students who are enrolled in recognized universities, colleges, and institutions in India. It covers various fields of study, including engineering, medicine, management, arts, and sciences.

The main objective of this fellowship and scholarship program is to encourage and support ST students in their pursuit of higher education. It aims to provide them with the necessary financial resources to complete their education and contribute to the development of their communities.

The scholarship amount varies depending on the level of education. For undergraduate students, the scholarship amount is Rs. 10,000 per year, while for postgraduate students, it is Rs. 20,000 per year. Additionally, selected candidates may also receive a contingency grant of up to Rs. 25,000 per year.
